A place of writing and reflection…

A Strong Woman

A strong woman is measured in prayer

On her knees in prayer when no one is there

On her face praying and waiting in the night

No one around, no one in sight.

Pacing on the floor, with hands held high

Strength God gives her for troubles that draw nigh

Standing firm and standing strong

For many things around her that go wrong.

God is faithful and she knows in her heart

That God will deliver her from them all

If she’ll  pray and do her part.

So whether you’re a grandma, dancer, teacher, mother, or wife

Know that God hears your prayers

And He’s in control of your life.

In Mosul, ISIS militants marked with a spray-painted ن (the Arabic letter for “N”) all Christian property to be seized after the ultimatum. “N”, or ن, is the first letter of the Arabic word for Christian, “Nasrani” or Nazarene. #pray4thepersecuted
