To be Counted with the Persecuted

And Saul approved of their killing him. [ The Church Persecuted and Scattered ] On that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria.

—Acts 8:1

As Missions Conference continues my news feed is filled all the more with stories of persecuted Christians from all over the globe—both those known by our missionaries visiting this month and ones shown on the news headlines world wide.

Recently twenty-one men of faith were beheaded by the militant muslim group ISIS, but this is only but one of their many killings as they have publicized burning a Jordanian pilot alive in a cage and threatening to do the same to children either because of faith or ethnicity.

Even those of no particular faith fall victim as well as just this week a blogger and his wife where attacked leaving a woman widowed in broad daylight, and a mother feed the remains of her son she demanded to see.

These are indeed terrible times upon us, and is sometime yet hard to grasp.

Even more so is the possibility of such action coming to America as our own country here fails to take action against such groups and instead moves to appease them.

According to Michael Cantrell’s post on Youngcons.comFranklin Graham warns Christians persecution is coming, here’s the reason why

With Obama’s constant coddling of radical Muslims and the Islamic religion as a whole, it’s led many Americans to believe he’s sympathetic to their cause, which as you can imagine, is bad news for Christians and religious freedom in America.
Famous preacher Franklin Graham recently gave a serious and chilling warning to Christians  on the 700 Club that persecution could soon be coming to the shores of our country, and he says it’s all because of one thing President Obama is doing.

Check this out.

From TheBlaze:

“We’re going to see persecution, I believe, in this country, because our president is very sympathetic to Islam and the reason I say that … is because his father was a Muslim, gave him a Muslim name, Barack Hussein Obama,” said Graham, son of famed evangelist Billy Graham. “His mother married another Muslim man, they moved to Indonesia, he went to Indonesian schools.”

He continued, “So, growing up his frame of reference and his influence as a young man was Islam. It wasn’t Christianity, [it was] Islam.”

Graham charged that U.S. foreign policy is being influenced by Muslim groups and that the White House has invited these organizations in — a development that he said began during the Bush administration in the years following the September 11 attacks.

“Our foreign policy has a lot of influence now from Muslims,” he said. “We see the prime minister of Israel being snubbed by the president and by the White House and by the Democrats and it’s because of the influence of Islam. They hate Israel and they hate Christians, and so the storm is coming, I believe.”

This is truly a terrifying thought, for Christians in particular, but for Americans who love the Constitution and the freedoms it protects in general.

Graham has an excellent point about our government inviting in Muslims and giving them influence in our government. Look how closely the president has worked with groups like the Muslim Brotherhood for example.

Sadly but true as our Nation bends more and more so as not to offend, there has also, as Graham pointed out, been a slow but steady movement toward Islam and a denouncing of Christianity in America as a whole. Islamic teaching has also made its way into schools while protests are made to boot out other religious studies from the system.

What most people haven’t realized is that Islam in itself is not just another religion. Islam come complete with it’s own laws and regulations regarding dress, food, money, treatment of women and non-believers (non-muslims).  Islam is its own all encompassing societal system.

Is America moving toward this?

It sure looks like it, and that’s scary.

Even more so is the fact that the very things groups like ISIS and the Muslim Brotherhood have done and are doing are acceptable practices. Practices that would, and are, otherwise illegal here currently  in the USA.

I say currently because a shift toward the Islamic system inevitably means adopting Islamic laws and rules as this is how the nature of it works. However, these Islamic laws are not compatible with our current legislation which leaves America with two options: either bow to Islam and forego all of the laws upon which this nation was originally created, or reject Islam and stick to her original intent as a country.

Both carry heavy consequences.

The former does mean an eventual persecution of Christians and every non-muslim who does not convert which may very well in turn mean we could see the events in Lybia and other extremist countries right in our own backyard. It could happen to you, me, your neighbor—anyone. Islam does not have a tendency to show favor toward those it considers to be outside Islam. The human rights Americans fight for right now including feminism and homosexuality would all be stamped out.

The later option means America needs to wake from her slumber and cease the steady favoritism of Islam. If there is indeed a separation of church and state, then Islam should also be allotted as equal to other religions held here in the US. One should not be put above another as this country was created to give people the freedom to worship (or not worship) as they please without the pressure of churches or other organizations forcing people to do one thing or another.

Now I do not say this maliciously at all as I myself would love to see people come to God. But He gave everyone the choice to chose or reject Him, and no religion or organization should take that choice away.

It’s one of those “unalienable rights” Lincoln talked about all those years ago.

You may not believe the same things I do, but no one should force you to accept something you don’t believe against your own will. That’s not how we were designed.

Our culture here in America has continuously moved toward the idea of forcing people to violate their beliefs for the sake of another in name of equality but it is not. It is greed, selfishness, and wrongful use of power/influence.

America you have your choice. Bow to Islam and bring persecution of every kind to your people or fight for the freedom upon which you were founded and stop this destructive movement in it’s tracks. You have been warned.

In Mosul, ISIS militants marked with a spray-painted ن (the Arabic letter for “N”) all Christian property to be seized after the ultimatum. “N”, or ن , is the first letter of the Arabic word for Christian, “Nasrani” or Nazarene. #pray4thepersecuted
