Getting a Clean “CarFax” with Jesus

verseHave you ever bought a used car? I have bought plenty over the years, and one of the most helpful tools is a CARFAX which can give you the complete history on a vehicle. It’s pretty amazing. The Carfax will tell you how many owners the car has had, what state it came from, and whether or not it’s been maintained by the dealer. It can even tell you whether the automobile has ever been wrecked and how badly. Cars that have a clean Carfax are the ones that I would be interested in.

The digital age in which we live provides a ton of information on everything, and it’s right at our fingertips. Think about how much more than even this, God knows about you.He knows everything–He knows every hair on your head, and for me that’s getting less and less! He knows your thoughts. He knows every word that you speak and the intents of your heart. He also knows the sins of every individual.

Sin is trespassing against or breaking God’s laws, and every person has sinned. The Bible tells us “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” We need help. The penalty for sin is death, and we can’t save ourselves. God devised a wonderful plan by sending His Son Jesus Christ to take the penalty for all of our wrongs, all of our badness, by dying on the cross in our place. God raised Him to life, and He will give us eternal life if we believe on Him and trust Jesus Christ as our Savior. He alone is able to wash all of our sins away and give us a clean record. A “clean Carfax” so to speak!

—Franklin Graham

If you would like to know for certain that you have a clean Carfax, check out the video of Fraklin Graham’s father, Billy Graham as he leads in the prayer for salvation. A simple prayer—that’s all it takes to find salvation in the midst of this crazy, crazy world and find freedom from all those things that bind and trap us:

If you have found salvation in Jesus Christ, I would like to invite you to share you story and how He has changed your life either in the comments below or if you would like to have your testimony featured right here on The Faithbook I would encourage you to send yours to I look forward to hearing from you!

In Mosul, ISIS militants marked with a spray-painted ن (the Arabic letter for “N”) all Christian property to be seized after the ultimatum. “N”, or ن, is the first letter of the Arabic word for Christian, “Nasrani” or Nazarene. #pray4thepersecuted
